Detroit casinos income increased by 4.8% – Michigan

Michigan Gaming Control Board released on Wednesday the sales figures of June of casinos in the city of Detroit. According to the State regulator, the income of the three casinos rose by 4.8% in the first six months of 2015 compared to the same period of last year. The income also increased by 4.3% in the second quarter compared to the first three months of this year. Until here, the gambling facilities of the States register then a very good year.

MotorCity Casino Hotel had the highest increase in the second quarter, with 5.4% to $ 117.4 million. In the second quarter, MGM Grand Detroit raked in $ 150.9 million, an increase of 4.8%, while the income of Greektown Casino-Hotel reached $ 82 million (+ 2%). MotorCity also recorded the highest increase in June with $ 37 million of revenue, an increase of 8.8% compared to June 2014. Greektown Revenue was increase by 1.2% to $ 25.6 million. MGM has earned an income of $ 47.3 million, a decrease of 4.7%. The quarterly gambling and casino taxes amounted to $ 28.4 million in the second quarter against $ 27.2 million last year. The monthly fees are $ 8.9 million in June 2015 against 8.8 million in June 2014.
